I just discovered this 3D model of the Robert E. Lee recumbent statue located in Lee Chapel on the campus of Washington and Lee University. It was constructed using photogrammetry, the use of photography to survey and map the distances between objects.
A total of 59 pictures were taken around the statue to create this 3D model. It allows folks to see the statue from above and underneath. These are views you can't even get if you visit in person.
