I am new to this forum so I'll say something about myself. I was part of the 9th Texas Red River Battalion for many years with was a Confederate unit. We did galvanize sometimes which is why I had both Union and Confederate uniforms. I have since gotten out of the hobby because had no time to really participate. I have sold my Confederate uniform but I still have my equipment and Union uniform and looking to sell. Everything is in good shape but just collecting dust. I am asking $250 for the whole lot. Great starter kit for someone looking to get into the hobby. Picture included. Items included are:
Union Enlisted Blue Shell Jacket Chest Size 46", Arm Length 22"
Union Sky Blue Trousers with suspenders 38-40
Black Slouch Hat Medium
Knapsack
Backpack
Bayonet Scabbard
Green Undershirt Large
Canteen
Gum Blanket
Leather Belt
Cartridge Box
Cap Box
Small Candle Lantern

Thanks for the Welcomes! Yes I guess sizes and where I got the items would be appropriate. The equipment I bought at Frazer Brothers Sutlery here in Dallas, TX. The Federal Uniform I bought from Falls Creek Sutlery at an event. The cartridge box has been modified so that it fits on your belt and slides back and forth instead of going over your shoulder on a shoulder strap. The backpack has been modified as well. Instead of it being of square shape with the wood inside, the wood was taken out and now sits higher on your back, it holds more items, and has been reenforced with thicker leather and a chest strap. I am not a small guy, 6'2" 25olbs, so the uniform is a large. It can be modified as well if you can sew, which I can not. The slouch hat has either shrunk or my head has gotten bigger. It measures 22" circumference, I don't know hat sizes, I just try it on and if it fits, great. The belt is large as well but more holes can be punched if needed. That's about all I can think of. If you have anymore questions I'll be glad to answer them.

I guess I should have put the size of the pants and jacket instead saying they were just large. My Bad! The pants are a size 40 and the jacket chest measurement is 49 and arm length is 22.

I have reduced my Union uniform & Equipment to $250. I'm thinking that's a fair price but I don't know. Let me know and and make me an offer of what you think their worth. Thanks!
