I'll beg Jim's sufferance on allowing this, but for those with (1) and interest in the Transcontinental Railroad and (2) gaming, a few months back Smokebox released a package for Train Simulator 2018 of the Union Pacific No. 119 (of Golden Spike fame), along with a stretch of the UP line around Cheyenne, Wyoming Territory, c. 1869. (The Central Pacific No. 60, Jupiter, was released last year.) This package is $24.99 on Steam, and you have to purchase the base game separately. I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on this one, as I already have the Jupiter model and it would be nice to run in it an appropriate historical setting.

This video had no narration as is a bit dull, but it's meant to show off the details of the package, including the authentic functionality of all the components of the locomotive.

The modeler, Mike Rennie, is currently working on a Central Pacific 4-6-0 (top) to go in the same setting.
