Thanks to all who had given advice. I think I still messed up on the mannequin size; but there is a fresh Tee underneath and the sleeves will be filled out with acid free paper by the end of this week Apologies for the hit and miss photo quality and odd angles. Vets, have a good life. H

Very nice jacket!! I saw a really cool video on YouTube about uniform conservation. They take clean non acidic linen & & sew them into arm sized tubes & stuff them with non-reactive batting. Then they take a strip of elastic & connnect the two "arms" together & then slide them gently into the coat sleeves. The elastic rests over the shoulders of the mannequin the uniform sleeves are full & rest & fall normally. Pretty cool videos out there on conservation. Check out "Civil War Uniform Conservation" by the N.C. Dept. Of Natural& Cultural Resources. EXTREMELY interesting.

Very nice coat that displays well! It really makes me want to get mine out on display. Thanks for posting!

Looks Great Thanks for the update. Be sure to get all those wrinkles out of the back and sleeves.
