The City of Wyandotte Michigan has a statue that at least so far has not caused any confrontations. So any one who wants to visit the great Custer artifacts at the Monroe Michigan History Museum should add a stop at one of the Nation's newest National Battlefield at the Battle of Frenchtown (two battles in one park). You can also see a couple of War of 1812 small battle sites in the area and stop at Wyandotte to see The Wyandots statue.

Here is a pamphlet about The Wyandots statue.

Well those silly Wyandotte fought a battle with the Americans in a high school parking lot. I have been there to see the plaque. What were the two sides thinking? They could have shot out some poor student's car window with a musket ball.

I always thought that if one were looking for a statue from the Civil War era that would be acceptable to almost everyone regardless of geography it would be the statue of the Angel of Marye's Heights. Something good and decent there for everyone.
