I apologize if this is not the proper place to post this but I am trying to locate a book that has been elusive to me for years.

Consolidated Crescent's Confederates From Simmesport to Mansfield: Among the Bravest in the Red River Campaign - By, Randy-DeCuir

Is anyone familiar with this book, or has any suggestions on where I could find it. I have looked nearly everywhere for it.

The ISBN search engine yields the below and the note that it found none for sale.

Consolidated Crescent's Confederates From Simmesport to Mansfield: Among the Bravest in the Red River Campaign
ISBN-13: 9781496047151

ISBN-10: 149604715X

Author: Randy DeCuir

Edition: 1

Binding: Paperback

Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform

Published: February 2014

List Price: $18.64

I suspect it was self-published and not ever widely distributed. The author has his other Create Space books available enough that they show up on WorldCat, so some libraries have them. But this one doesn't bring anything up on Worldcat, which is really unusual. In my experience, books will show up on there even if they are not for sale and only a few libraries in the world own them.

I definitely think contacting the author is the way to go.

Worldcat only works with the libraries that cooperate with it. Many universities and most city libraries do not and therefore their books do not show up. In this case, I even tried directly the library of the county where the author lives and the one the subject of the book and found nothing.

My experience is, admittedly, anecdotal, but in the 10 years I've worked at a library that is not in the Worldcat system, I've never before encountered a book that didn't have some listing on there, even if it was only available in a handful of libraries around the world.
