Sadly no. That's Frosty. That was taken about 18 months ago. I got tied up building a new barn since he died. Will be looking for a new partner big time in the spring.
This barn is one of my favorite parts of the battlefield because of that cannon ball hole and how noticeable it is in old photos from after the battle. Very nice!

Ah okay, sorry if that brought up some bad feelings. I'm crossing my fingers that you find a nice horse (or two) this year to work with!!!!!!
And it is a nice picture.... both of them are!!!!
I like these pics, EJ! They somehow give the Trostle barn a "real" feeling, not just a historical but empty building. Frosty was sure a beautiful horse!

Thanks Pam. I feel the same way. The Trostle homestead does seem to need some creatures around. Enjoyed your then and now pics. Had to go to town on errands today. Funny, no matter how old the kids get they still like climbing on the rocks at the den.
EJ, thanks....and think how many of us long-time CWT folks recognize Frosty because of you. He'll never really be gone. I must stop now. Getting weepy, darn it.
