What is this? Token of sort

This past weekend I was detecting around an old ferry site where the union army crossed. Signal was about 8–9 on the equinox 800. After a couple brush strokes . I got a little detail coming through. I actually identified it later. Just curious to see if anyone can.

It is without a doubt. I cheated and looked it up. It is identified by collectors as a Dewitt AL-1864-81.

There's not very many images related to this specific token design. It took me a while to get any information.

Does say it is a rare token, but typing in "Lincoln token justice truth" gave me a couple immediate hits.

Right I did see that. And I figured since there's not a lot of material online it shouldn't be a very common one and more on the rare side. But I figured maybe someone on here would catch wind of it and have a little bit more insight.

I could make out the Freedom, Justice, Truth part but not Abraham Lincoln.

I could make out the Freedom, Justice, Truth part but not Abraham Lincoln.

The name is at the top (i.e. with the hole in it). I can clearly see the AM part of Abraham just to the left of the hole and the LIN part of Lincoln just to the right of the hole. The other letters are considerably more worn but I can make most of them out.
