Does anyone know what the item is in lower right hand corner is it has a cap that slide back and forth sending more pics of it.

Its the top off a powder flask, missing the spout tube.

Do you think small buckle is period?

Its hard to tell from the photo but it does like many of the suspender buckles I have dug in CW camps. A lot of these had marking, patent dates makers name.
