I Just want to give a acknowledgement to all the veterans of this country. From the revolutionary war to Iraqi. My Father fought in WW 2 and was a Proud Navy man. He Passed this week and will be missed by his family and friends. He was one of the last of a dying breed and was a character to the end . God Bless

My deepest condolences to you and your family. You were blessed with a special man as your Father. Never forget. May God bless and comfort you and yours.

Sorry for your loss, civilken. We all stand with you in this time of losing a loved one and a hero. So long as we remember what he and all of his fellow veterans did, they will never really be gone.

civilken,

I so sorry that your Father has passed but I am glad to know that the man was proud of his service and the cause he fought for. His generation is indeed, in my own view, "the greatest generation."

I know you will miss him, as the rest of your family will, but you can also always be proud of him.

God Bless and keep you and your family.

Sincerely,
Unionblue

Sorry for your loss, civilken. My wife works in the local Vet's Home, and they seem to lose several each week. When one passes, the entire staff stands at attention in the hallways as the body is removed from the building. It's really quite moving, and these people (like your father) deserve it!
