Here are 3 photos from our visit to Appomattox in 2018 for "Throwback Thursday". Today is the anniversary of General Lee's surrender.
First photo is of myself on the porch of a log cabin at the Virginia Museum of the Civil war followed by a photo of Confederate Cemetery at Appomattox. Graves are from a skirmish the morning of the surrender. A lone unknown Union soldier is buried with them. Last is a photo of the McClean house where the surrender was signed.

I have made a mistake. The museum I listed as Virginia Museum of he Civil War is correctly named American Civil War Museum - Appomattox. The museum may be able to get you information on the cabin. https://acwm.org/acwm-appomattox/

I really want blueprints to that cabin...

Formerly the Museum Of The Confederacy at Appomattox.

Nice pics. Appomattox is a terrific place to visit and the museum, though small, is super- high quality.

I suspect that's really the Clover Hill Tavern, not the McLean house.
