HF Three new books!

Historical-Fiction
I stopped by my library this week. Slim pickings. Any book worth $2? View attachment 527927

This one is a great book on US infantry uniforms but I have it

The "They Fought Like Lions" is a nice book about Confederate cadets at war, but again I own a copy.
Assume you already have To The Gates Of Richmond -- any book by Stephen Sears is really good, IMO.

Do the Catton American Heritage book and The Destructive War (one of my favorites). I am the only forum member who likes Killing Lincoln 😏

Not much I needed. I went ahead and spent $4 on these two books.

I'd go for In the Hurricane's Eye, The First Salute and maybe Inventing America.

Edited to add: Sinking the Sultana is a Young Adult book, but that's not really in your face, and there is good information, just not at the same level as Gene Salecker's books.
