Kind of easy because this park has three of these cannons.
Mackinaw City. It was claimed that at least one of these was from the Hartford but that has been disproven. I doubt they changed the plaque. The ones on display at Gaylord and Petoskey did come from the Hartford.

I haveWell, you have given me a lot to do research on.
From Kurtlg: "There is a rare Confederate iron Napoleon in Arlington Park , Petoskey , Michigan. This is marked from the Augusta Arsenal and had the end of the muzzle damaged. It was recovered buried during an excavation and is believed to be left over from a GAR event."
Here is a poser: I have a record of the Chief of Ordnance sending a "30-lb Parrott" to the Petoskey GAR post 170 in 1897. I wonder if this may be what they shipped? It looks like a Parrott.

I have images somewhere of both. I will try to find them this coming week .I do have lots of appointments but I'll see what I can do. I. Unless they moved it the piece pictured does not seem in the correct location in Petoskey. I am pretty sure there were Augusta markings on the tube.Well, you have given me a lot to do research on.

That could be the Confederate cannon. Note that the tube does not taper from the breech to the muzzle like a Parrot would . If you do a search under Petoskey Confederate cannon on CWT you should find my images. Apparently there are no markings on the trunnions and the muzzle was damaged and shortened so no markings there. Years ago I was a member under Kurtg but had computer problems and rejoined as kurtlg.I let the moderator know and my Kurtg is no longer active.Well, you have given me a lot to do research on.
