Three Bullets in Wood.

Location
Maryland...'bout 55 miles south of Gettysburg.
I bought these at a Gettysburg area estate sale. The one on the left side, and the one on the right side
appear to have been sawed off, perhaps at an old saw mill. Was that how they were found? I removed
what was left of them, and turned them around on the display so you can see the oxidized side. The middle
one is fine, and is shown as found.

Those are some nice ones. Back in the years after the war sawmills had problems from timber cut from battlefields due to bullets which would destroy a saw blade. It got so bad most would not except timber from battlefields.
