For all who don't know, I am very blessed young man. I have 4 loving families. The first is my sisters and my mama and deddy. The second one is my wonderful, beautiful, sweet loving girl friends family the girls and jones, third would be my best friends family the Pendergrafts. The 4th family is the one who have helped through the toughest times of my life, and they would be the 13th Nc. Co. B. To add to that, these men have given me the highest honor that I have ever been blessed with so far in my life. I have been given the honor of portraying corporal Grief Mason at the 150th anniversary event of the battle of the wilderness. During this battle I will go through the hardest task that has ever been placed before me. I am to be the flag bearer while carrying the 13ths colors and have to go through the scenario of Grief masons death and have my colors capture. I hope to portray Mason with the most historical authenticity and bring him the remembrance and honor he so much deserves. I pray that he will be looking down and smile that his memory and his sacrifice was not forgotten. and I hope I make all the veterans who were there proud a long with all the men of the 13th. Thank you gentlemen for giving me this high honor.

18th, congratulations! With your attitude towards the Masons and history, I know you will do a good impression. I am a member of the Order of Eastern Star. My grandmother was matron for the state of Kansas back in the 60's.

His name was Grief Mason. I do have a deep respect for masons and hope to become one when I reach the proper age.

18thMississippi: I don't want to even sound nasty, but as an old teacher I want to correct your writing something terribly.....
