President Lincoln conducts a peace conference aboard the the steamboat The River Queen at Hampton Roads, Virginia. Mr Lincoln and Sec. Of State Seward represented the Union and VP Alexander Stephen's, Senator Robert M Hunter and Assistant Secretary of War John A Campbell for the South. The meeting lasted for over four hours. At it's conclusion, the President and VP Stephens had a private discussion to arrange an exchange for Stephen's captured nephew. Lincoln returned to DC by the steamboat at 5pm.
