Great photo; I posted the enlarged version of it in the 150th Kelly's Ford anniversary thread. But it's NOT a West Point uniform - note the state badge ( either Alabama or South Carolina - I forget which ) pinning up the Hardee hat! It should be Alabama, since that was his native state, but it looks like SC at the top of the design.
