That excellent video again

Someone on YouTube has re-posted Ken Burns' documentary; I'll start with the link to episode one, but from there you'll have to find the rest, if they weren't taken down already. But there are some issues with them, such as lack of completeness (minutes are missing) and sometimes there is no sound.

But for those that would rather have a new, real DVD, may I suggest EBay? All you need is an account, and a VISA gift card.

But not your normal banking card. Don't ever use your normal banking card!

Netflix - Burns' The Civil War is available there too. Also they have a very intriguing documentary (Death in the Civil War may be the title) which discusses the creation of an entire US bureaucracy (a necessary one) to deal with dead soldiers, burial, transportation home and peripherally, the needs of the wounded.

I don't tend to use my bank card for any online purchases, but I don't see how it would be any different than using my regular Visa card. I think having to purchase a gift card and then restock it all the time would be a big hassle. Personally I use my PayPal account, when funds run low I can always transfer some $ into the account. I also have a PayPal Mastercard that I use for purchases from funds I have received from selling on eBay. It's great I use it just the same as I would my bank card and keep the $ separate.

As far as the Ken Burn's Civil War, have to agree with MajGenl.Meade, Netflix is a great option.
