Does anyone have the above titled book? I need to see a picture of a sword on pg 127. It should be an 1850 Foot Officers Sword.

I don't have it as it was one over 50 I lost in the flood last year. Sorry

If you search the book and page number on the internet, sometimes you can preview about 10 pages of the document. Can't recall if that's Amazon or Google books that allows that.

I purchased a sword from the author of this book, he advised that it was the sword pictured on pg 127. He stated he would send me a copy of the page with the sword and write up. I'll post some pics when it arrives. Was hoping to get an earlier look.

Well the sword pictured in the book arrived today. Seems to be in great overall shape with a few repairs to the scabbard. For the price I'm more than happy with it. Now the next hunt is to find a decent war dated musket.

Now that's a CW period Ames Foot Officer sword. Post a photo of the etching on the other side, does it have an eagle?

It does..... for some reason I can't get a clear picture. This side seems to be a bit lighter with the markings.
