The Angle in the Stone Wall.
These were taken just over a month ago around the middle of August late in the day when few visitors were still around and the slanting light from the setting sun nicely illuminated the Federal guns, statues, and monuments on Cemetery Ridge near the Angle and the High-Water Mark.
Statues of Brig. Gen. Alex. Webb and Maj. Gen. George G. Meade.
Above and Below, Federal guns at the Stone Wall overlooking the field of Pickett's Charge.
The Codori Farmhouse and Barn are in middle distance with the Angle at right; the low stone marker in the foreground is a North Carolina regimental marker showing their "high tide" in front of the Stone Wall.
Alonzo Cushing's Battery
Monument to the 72d Pennsylvania, repaired after its misfortune of last year, with monument to the U. S. Regulars and the Pennsylvania Memorial in the distance to the left.
Pennsylvania Cavalry Monument
The High-Water Mark Monument at the legendary Clump of Trees.
