Does anyone live near there and know if the Hill's point area is accessible to the public where the earthworks are?

See

I couldn't find a street address for the area. I think were was a golf course there but now it's a housing development. It looks like all private land.

Thanks!

@qstor Welcome to the forums. I'm not familiar with that particular area. But Thanks for sharing that blog post. Glad to see a local historical society still involved there and keeping the history of the area relevant. Alot lost due to time and continuation of urban sprawl.

I've been there twice as part of a tour given by Kermit Hobbs for the Suffolk Nansemond Historical Society. It's in a housing development as part of a park. The park has a walking path and benches. There are no signs there that would indicate that access is restricted, it's not gated. It's on Peck Lane.

If you're coming from Yorktown, take the free ferry boat near Jamestown. Never mind the Norfolk Bridge b/c of the traffic. :cold:
