succotash and beans

I grew up with succotash made from fresh sweet corn and lima beans. Apparently many recipes use butter beans and red peppers
What kind of combination do you like now that it's summer and corn is nearly here?

Succotash was a nourishing Native American staple. The name is from the Wampanoag msickquatash meaning "boiled corn kernels". One of earliest written recipes is from 19th century.. It had corn (ears), dried Jowl Bacon, baby Lima Beans, salt, pepper and butter. It was cooked in Dutch Oven over the fire.
