Hi everyone!

This morning the scout pack participated in the Wreaths Across America cleanup at Stonewall Memory Gardens! Not a Civil War site exactly, but it is right next to the Manassas Battlefield Park and at the back of the cemetery is a large stone mausoleum with large portraits of Civil War leaders. Below are the pictures! (I have seen better looking portraits...especially Longstreet, who looks kind of weird 😀)

I swear I've seen Klines before when I lived closer to Manassas 🤔
You probably did, it was on Rt #28 and still open until about 5 or 6 years ago. On the other side of town you could have seen NASCAR greats like Richard Petty and David Pearson run at Old Dominion Speedway back in the 60's. I even raced my Triumph there in the 1980's.

Interesting monuments, never seen that type before. They almost look like holograms
I wonder what they're made of? They seem too reflective for highly polished black granite that has been laser etched, but then again, I don't think I've ever seen a slab that big to be able to judge. Is it possibly black-tinted automotive glass that's been laser etched? However they're made, they are very cool!

It's funny...normally I'd take a closer look but I only ran over to snap the pictures real quick!! I'll be there again next year 😀
