Hi All,
I am interested to find out Thomas Jackson's day to day accounts in 1862. Is there a source out there on the web or maybe a book that can help me obtain this information?

Thanks for your help.

Robin

Robi, you can edit the title of the thread....I'd make it "Where was Jackson 11/15/1862"
The more specific you are the more likely to get the desired response. We get dozens of Jackson info threads. Yours is different!

Thanks everyone. Here is the reason why I inquired about that particular date. I am an autograph collector and I recently came across a Stonewall Jackson ALS dated 11/15/1862. This was a letter recommending fellow Virginian Charles James Faulkner to Lt. Colonel. I will transcribe the rest of the letter tomorrow. But thought I'd share this letter to all TJ Jackson enthusiasts.

Here is the full letter.

Colonel, I send herewith a letter recommending your appointment as Lt. Col. in the adjt genl dept. The letter is written to the adj & Insp Gen'l as a published order so requires. But you can hand it to the secretary of War or the President if you prefer. Should you prefer that another person should present the letter, I wish that you would hand ot to Col. French A.D.C. To Gov. Lieutenant, onto the Governor, and request him from me to take charge of the matter. I am desirous of seeing you back at as early a period as possible and if you will give your personal attention to procuring the appointment, time will be saved in my opinion. Please go down on Monday to Richmond and let me hear the result by telegraph. It is important that my staff be filled as soon as practicable. Reminder me very ___ to Col. Boteler in Richmond.
Very truly your friend
Signed T.J.Jackson

Col. C.J. Faulkner

I heard that Stonewall Jackson letters are rare so I was lucky enough to purchase this letter and i am happy to share the content with you folks.
