St. Clair Mulholland's beard?

Hello I do reenactments in Florida. But being a dual Irish-American citizen, I am a huge fan of the Irish Brigade and 69th PA regiment. This Halloween I'm planning to go as my favorite civil war hero St. Clair Mulholland. Looking at a picture of Col. Mulholland () does it look like he has a Red beard or a Strawberry blonde beard? Trying to be as accurate as possible. Looks like he has blonde hair but a reddish beard? Need a second (or third or fourth) pair of eyes.
