I have a Springfield bayonet and scabbard for sale for trade. The bayonet fits the older model armi sport 1861 Springfield rifle musket the year would be 2002-2003 manufactured. I seek and enfield style bayonet with scabbard and frog would consider trade. My scabbard is like new bayonet has very very light surface rust that could be cleaned with 0000 steel wool and vinager

I would keep the scabbard and just get a new bayonet if you're getting or have an Enfield. Those English scabbards, unless you have a complete set of English accoutrements, is a bit overdone in the reenacting world in my opinion. They were imported as an accoutrement set, the scabbard didn't come with the bayonet. You won't see many of them in period photos. Plus they come straight down and always in the way, the standard American style scabbards are much more comfortable.

I was told the enfield bayonet will not fit inside a Springfield scabbard?

It will fit, the Enfield is just a tad longer but the Springfield is a tad wider. Here's a Springfield bayonet with a Federal 2 rivit scabbard and an Enfield bayonet with a CS made scabbard. I swapped the bayonets in the last pic.

Are they both Armi-sport? If so they're pretty close to the same fit. I'd still get the right one though, the repro bayonets aren't that expensive.
The enfield is Chiappa I think they bought out armi sport? Idk if made in same factory used by same specs as armi sport and yes bayonet is an older that fit on my old armi sport .58 Springfield
