Simple Confederate Recipes.

My wife was out shopping at second hand stores and wanted to purchase two books. Sadly it was four books for a dollar day so she picked up this book and the Union volume. At 50 cents for the both of them I guess I got a kick out of the books. Now I know haw to cook Sally Lunn Bread. They did not use real Confederates to make the Confederate Cush. I included an index for the Confederate book.

I just checked and the two books that we had a free download were different but along the same line.you have two interesting books there,enjoy them and pass on some recipes.

The books are aimed at youths and give them recipes using modern ingredients to make Civil War foods. We are not talking authenticly prepared foods but fun for the youths while they read the one page articles on various aspects of the Civil War.
