The Spring 2026 issue of the Journal of the Company of Military Historians arrived yesterday. In it was the long awaited third installment of Michael. R. Cummingham's article about Singnal Corps uniforms. This installment cover modified uniforms Taking in whole these are one of the best reference works on Civil War Signal uniforms. The 5 full color photos of the uniforms in the installment are great.

I take it that they removed the piping from their mounted service jackets as one of the modifications that they made.
