New posting here. I know this a novice question but can anyone kindly explain to me where sheads woods is located. I've been a civil war fan for many years. I've just finished reading Phantz 1st days battle. I'm planning on reading it again. Been to Gettysburg 3 times and going again end of October. Really trying to understand the first day before proceding to the 2nd. Been reading this forum for awhile now so know there's people with knowledge about the 1st day. I apologize for my ignorance but need to locate this woods so as to aid my understanding when it is referenced in the book. Thanks!

Shead's Woods is part of the woodlot north of the Chambersburg Pike, across from the Lutheran Seminary (on the south side of the Pike). It's where Cutler's Brigade rallied after their initial fight with Davis' Brigade on July 1.
