This your man, ja?

1) If you're not the Little Marie who posted that, then the both of you are on the same wavelength and you should reach out to her.

2) Look for Obits, as those may have the lurid details you seek.

That is the Carter I am seeking. He was also enrolled at the University of Alabama.
The grave is at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Faunsdale, Marengo County, Alabama. Both of my parents were born and raised and buried in Marengo County. The Major was my mother's grandfather.

@Grantwashere meet @CarterAdams38
Thanks. We are one and the same. I had a permanent hardware crash and had to sign up again.

I suspected as much.

One tip for getting better responses is to leave a trail of breadcrumbs in new postings back to old postings, so you can clearly illustrate where you've been in the effort to show us where you'd like to be.

I came here to help but it appears that @Story once again was on the case. While i'm here though, fun fact I found out recently is that Marengo County was named after Napoleon's hard-won victory at Marengo, because Bonapartists in exile tried to colonize that part of Alabama after 1815.
