I visited the Concho Book Shop in San Angelo on Thursday in hopes of remembering what issues of Frontier Times Magazine my great-grandfather was featured in (Years ago, I was there and found him listed in two issues--problem being those old 1920's issues were sold out at the time--and now I can't remember what two issues they were. Yeah.

Anyway, having been stymied in that, I wandered over to the Civil War section. I kinda glanced up and 😳 Holy gee willikers!!!!

I'll just post the photos first -- after mentioning all are 1st Editions and three are signed. They are now waiting for me to shuffle the Hood's Brigade shelf so I can fit 'em in (I seriously need more shelves!).

"Score!" indeed. Outstanding. Wait'll Martha hears about that. :D

Looks like you hit the JACKPOT

I know it's possible to find most everything online these days, but nothing beats walking in a real store and happening across a treasure.

Nope. I've found some goodies there over the years...up till now, my best one was a 1st edition of John W. Poe's The Death of Billy the Kid.

Happily, Neal was with me and said to pull the trigger (he could tell I was sorta excited), so I don't even have to feel guilty. Now to convince my daughter it was a good deal!

Congratulations on finding and getting those precious beauties! I love going into stores and smelling that old musty paper smell of old books.
By the by, did Neal have a choice?
Regards
David
