This question may have already been asked and answered: If modern medicine and medical knowledge had been available when President Lincoln was shot, could he have been saved, or would he have died anyway?

Welcome, enjoy. I think this is a question that can only be guessed as to the answer. Even though today's modern medical options are amazing in what can be accomplished, we will never know.

That is a great article, thank you! Guessing if we'd have had medicine that advanced the rest would have been along the same lines too. Meaning security would also have advanced. Booth would have died of old age, or syphillis or something, a ' son ' entry in a Wikipedia page about his father.

Booth was from a family of actors, but was talented and well-known in his own right, would probably have a more positive wiki page than he does in OTL. Supposedly his favorite part was Brutus, who assassinated Julius Caesar when he seemed to be becoming a tyrant; wonder if that says anything about his motivation?
