Any body have idea of rarity and value this. Only mark is an I on ricasso . I've only ever see Officers sabers of this maker. Thanks, Frank.

I think I've got one lying around the house somewhere. It doesn't have a scabbard and doesn't look as spiffy as yours. I don't think they are common, I'd pull out Thillmann's book to see what he has to say. I don't know about worth but I would put it at the high end of enlisted sabers. I have seen one in attic/relic condition listed as Confederate; I think mainly for the unstopped fuller.
 
Is that the same saber you posted in July last year? Wire wrap came out pretty good.
I've repaired a few swords myself with the wire wrap. Easy fix and you can't tell the difference between new or old. I get the wire from Tom Nardi on his sword restoration website.
 
This is a wild guess. Given it has some restoration (which I know you would reveal) 700 dollars. Not many of these have sold lately without provenance and those being more
