Considering I am sitting at this moment about a half a mile from the Chattahoochee I went ahead and ordered a copy off of Amazon.

Turner's book probably has the best balance of the issues facing the CSN in attempting to assemble the infrastructure to build genuine warships in the South. She is the only author I'm aware of that presented the time-lines of maintaining progress on multiple projects including support of civilian transports to move materials in and out of Columbus. In particular, I remember being impressed by the "response team" approach to repair and replace major engine components on the Savannah. Turner also did a good job of covering the off-station projects and the salvage of the Chattahooche. She also managed to put into print the only solid data on the torpedo boat Viper. A first rate researcher.
