I have seen Bill HR 97, mentioned on a lot of Confederate sites on the web.I spent many hrs. trying to find it. I was beginning to think it was a Southern Myth. Well, I found it and it was passed by the Senate but I haven't found what the House did with it. I lean towards the South because I had a gg grandfather and two of his brothers and two of hs brothers inlaw that was in the 8th Va. Cav. Co.
