NF Round Ball to Rimfire

For Christmas this year I treated myself, with my wife's approval of course, to buy Parts 2, 3, & 4 of Dean S. Thomas' "Round Ball to Rimfire." What an excellent resource on Civil War ammunition, very pleased with them and have already learned a lot. Missing of course Part 1. I can't find Part 1 anywhere for much less than $900 per book and prices actually go up from there! If anyone knows where I can obtain a Part 1 copy for anywhere near a reasonable price, please let me know.

I assume supply and demand, limited number of books printed. It is also the volume which covers Union musket ammunition during the war. The other three are: Part 2 US Carbines, Part 3 US Pistols and revolvers, and Part 4 Confederate.
