Friends, do any of you know of a full-length published biography of Brig. Gen. Robert Anderson, the commander at Fort Sumter? I've been unable to locate one, but that doesn't mean that such a book doesn't exist. Any assistance that anyone can render--either in helping to identify one, or in confirming that there is none--will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Am not aware of any published biographies dedicated to Robert Anderson.

Some written works on Fort Sumter, might briefly cover his history.

I appreciate that. Let me explain why I posted what I did....

I am working on a book chapter on the secession crisis of 1860-1861. I have included a very brief biography of Anderson in a footnote. I would like to be able to refer the reader to a full-length biography of Anderson if the reader is interested in that, but it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to do so. That's what and why I'm looking for a full-length biography of him.

I do appreciate the suggestions, though. Thank you.
