I'm looking for a source that would have the specifications for two shallow draft steamboats that worked Deer Creek, Rolling Fork, and Sunflower River. The boats were the Argo and the Cotton Plant.

All I have found is this, includes length and width but no tonnage or draft.

Try: Way's Packet Directory, 1848–1994: Passenger Steamboats of the Mississippi River System since the Advent of Photography in Mid-Continent America There may be one in your local library (or they can get it). newer printed copies can be purchased online (from Amazon, etc.)..

I believe construction was completed in 1859 and she was burned in June 1863 to prevent capture.

There was a second Cotton Plant that served in the east, this one was specifically designed for the shallow bayous in Mississippi.
