Fort Hell was a fine Civil War museum on the site of Ft. Sedgewick, in Petersburg, Virginia,
in the 1950s I think. My parents brought me there when passing through the area long ago.
The relics shown here were on your right when you exited the museum to go outside
to see the various bombproofs, and other fine displays. This is a postcard we purchased there.
I bought my first antique gun at this shop when a teenager. It was an ancient Fowler, and
probably as old as the Civil War, but it had the wrong trigger guard and needed a couple
small parts, BUT it was only $19.5o. When I got older I saw that I did better buying
relics or photos than antique guns, and today I have none!
