Reenactment Traditions?

Whole books could be written about all the inside jokes and "rituals" that different units have during an event. Many units have traditions or a catchphrase that was implemented years before anyone can remember. What are some of your reenacting jokes or traditions?

When we're waiting to go on the field, we split an apple or two among all the guys in the company... we did it at one event just to pass the time, and it sorta became a tradition, we never hit the field without splitting an apple among the boys

When marching if a pretty lady was spotted we ( 40-50 guys ) were given the command "eyes right or left" and got to watch her blush and squirm as we all stared at her. Haha

I knew this happened in actual military units... funny that these things happen with reenactors too!

Good to know they carry the reenactment to that level!

One of my unit's short-lived traditions was placing a candle on a pole on the company fly so that it stood high above everyone's head. The tradition lasted for two or three events. The candle was burned alive by our brutal First Sergeant, who needed a light to write the evening roll call.

Any time they yell "Fire at will", I instinctively aim at the 3rd yank on the right! I don't know why, (every since my 1st reenactment) seems like that 3rd yank on the right is named...Will!
