A special recipe I found in one of my Mom's old cookbooks. Thought I would share with the forum.
Recipe for Friendship
"Start with a wonderful Friend like you
And all your thoughtful ways.
Stir in some secrets shared and kept,
And a word of heartfelt praise.
Mix in a bit of Cheering Up,
And favors large and small.
Add a Good Luck but never a Goodbye,
And a friendly little call.
Toss in a small Forgive Me please,
And a spell of stormy weather.
Warm slowly and carefully through the years,
Just doing things together.
Then top it off with a great big smile,
And a sprinkle of Dreams come true.
And you'll have the kind of Friendship
That I have known since I met you."
For my dear friend Dana, who I have know since I was 12 years old. The Very Best of Friends.
