i have never heard of or seen this movie. it is great except that they messed up the end a little. it is set in the 1840's in Key West. stars the "Duke". it has striking similarity to GWTW. instead of Rhett and Scarlet it has Capt. Jack and Loxi. it even has a great line from the black mammy, " I ain't goin' out en no voodoo nite" .
although it is stereo typical like GWTW it provides more evidence that Key West was not a Union town.
anyway i laughed all the way through except for a couple serious moments. i think you'll like it.
