Has anyone ever seen a 1835 bayonet with this stamp from what other have said there were only two arsenals making this style the Harper's ferry and Springfield these stamp seems very uncommon to the point know one really knows anything of the origins

This will fit the Model 1842 muskets, but really was made as a replacement for the earlier converted muskets, and is called the US Model 1835 socket bayonet. Here is a listing from Tim Prince's fine website showing one of these:

Tim writes that it is a rare variant.

I also would remind you to remove that bayonet from your bedding before turning in for the night.

Thanks for the reply, yes it seems no one can pinpoint the arsenal responsible for manufacture of this bayonet. Giving the time of make due to stamp one could Say Springfield Arsenal or Harper's ferry

Tim Prince's write up references a reference work
Have you checked that?
