Colorization isn't picking up the red piping on the cuffs and collar.
That is one of the problems with the old emulsions - they can be quite picky on representing colors in shades of grey. I had great problems in colorising this photo (by hand-and-eye, not AI):

It took several goes as the reds are not shown well - neither is gold braid! The cuffs and epaulets are particularly bad.

Here's a 1st Sergeant of US Army Artillery, in the artillery coat... (with the sergeant's chevrons, and sergeants' stripe on trousers)...

The Army's volunteer units, from the States, generally did without the uniform hat, and wore the forage cap with the full uniform in fortress garrisons, etc.
