One of the things I decided to do this year was to try to piece together stories of some of my Ancestors who fought in the war. I had done this years ago with Grandparents but now want to expand it to Uncles and Cousins. Lately I have been working on 2nd Lt Jerome Furman who I had found late last year. I recently got a copy of the report of his assassination signed by Lt Col Trowbridge commanding the 33d USCT. I always find it interesting that Military Etiquette started all reports, good or bad, started with "I have the Honor".
