Proof that even Queen Victoria smiled at least one time! This one's for you @Waterloo50! I know how much you love your Royals!
What you can't see is the guys other hand,no wonder she's smiling.

Do you think she just got married? It's a beautiful pic - possibly father and daughter - anyway :)

This is a photo of my GG Uncle, his name was William and he's stood along side his wife Elizabeth, in the few pictures that I have seen of him he always looks like he's happy or just about to break into a smile which is pretty remarkable considering that he and his wife had 17 children.

He does look like one of those people who was genuinely happy.
I'm guessing they had a wonderful marriage, and a very busy homelife, too!

Victorian tea for two! And yes, she is fully clothed.
I have a friend from Faire who does this all the time. I, however, could not do this even if my life depended on it. :giggle:

Victorian friends doing the silly things friends sometimes do! Circa 1890-1900.
Reminds me of the Tarts & Vicars Party from Bridget Jones.

Taking her for a "dip" in 1897. She doesn't seem too concerned!
And now the question is: How long have men been doing this to us? Because I have a feeling this irresistible urge goes back quite far. :smoke:
