Proofreading / editing mistake

I'm flipping through "Brady's Civil War: Revised Edition" by Webb Garrison today and on page 188 happened upon a bit of a mistake.

In the section about hospitals, it mentions "Just over 250 million Confederates perished in the conflict...."

No wonder McClellan felt outnumbered :laugh2:
 
250,000,000?? Magruder must've had those guys on a gigantic high-speed treadmill!
 
Those ****ed Yankee genocidal techniques must have been copied by all dictators of the Twentieth Century. It's a miracle that anyone is alive in the South today.
 
I just found another glaring error. In an 1844 book about the history of the United States exists a chapter about the "western states."

One of the states discussed is Kentucky, but this book claims Kentucky is bordered on the west by Mississippi. :hmmm:

I guess they may have started to spell Missouri and got distracted, but that's a pretty big error. :shrug:
