Let us sayhe US did not interfere and a Confederate nation emerged. At some point a Confederate state wanted to rejoin the United States.
I assume leaving the Confedery would be easy, but what about rejoining the Union? Would the former state simply vote to reenter or would the former state have to go through the normal process?
