Hello everyone. The question I would like to pose is what is the best way to preserve tintypes and cdv's. I have two large velvet albums filled with tintypes and two small albums with cdv's that were given to me from my mother a long with our family bible that dates to 1843. Should they be removed from the albums? Is there an archival way to best protect them?

I use acid free archival sleeves for cdvs, then place them inside the acid free baseball card holders .This allows you to hold them without getting dirt or finger oil on them. I have done the same for tintypes too.
