Diorama Prebuilt American Civil War Diorama

If the soldiers are about 2 1/2 " tall they would be 1/32nd. If they are about one inch tall they would be 1/72nd scale. AK makes some excellent vegetation and other diorama products , but they are pricey. Woodland Scenics has a large line of diorama products that are a lot cheaper. Either brand is readily available through online hobby shops.
Buildings are more of an issue. In 1/32 scale some bagged soldiers come with simplified buildings. Britains makes some very nice buildings and accessories but they are expensive. Michigan Toy Soldier may have something in 1/72 buildings as well as Scalehobbyist. I've used both of them over the years and have had no issues. MTS would also have bagged 1/32 scale soldiers and accessories.

People who paint professionally paint commissioned pieces. The end result will be pricey, however, because you´re looking at a professional´s time and effort. How big a diorama are you considering? (A real life concern is that they´re static art pieces that take up a lot of space, especially in 54mm/ 1/32 scale. They also are dust catchers.)

There's a company in California called "Solid Terrain Modeling Inc" that uses 3d print technology to produce landscapes. They are expensive......but I always thought it would be amazing to have a civil war diorama produced by them. Maybe they would offer a discount for such an project.

Shenandoah offers a few kits that I would consider diorama ready in 54mm. You can buy the figures individually, or as a group as in the below pictures, of course they still need to be painted.

Is this what the OP is looking for? Or does he want to build a diorama with is son's figures?

Thank you all!

I'm looking for a prebuilt diorama (static…something nice to look at) for my son's CW Britains. Scale is 54mm / 1:32. Looking for something that can hold 30-40 figurines (both sides combined…with one cannon on each side). Not looking to re-create a particular battle. Just wanted to it to look cool!

I do like the Britains… can they be purchased in groups like shown in @Booner post?

Generally not . Sierra Toy Soldiers has an extensive range of accessories by Britains. Go to their W. Britains Civil War page and scroll down to accessories. They have fences, gabions, redoubts , farm houses , etc .

Yes, thank you, I've seen that. I'm looking for a prebuilt diorama that has fences, grass, maybe a farmhouse. Unfortunately I am unable to build due to a shaky left hand/arm and lack of time.

Don't have to get it all in one shot - this is a good start, considering your parameters and it's in Cali

And this one he can finish off -

There's been some great advise and ideas already but perhaps by contacting your nearest Toy Soldier Model club, they could give advice where to purchase what you're looking for.
Pity you've just missed their annual show. https://www.facebook.com/westcoasttoysoldier/ you and your son would have loved it.
An example below shows a simple wooden base filled with what looks like twigs and rocks found in most gardens and a few small trees made from flock or purchased from a model railway shop.

@Cycom

Your boy might enjoy this, either in the illustrated digital format or a (cheap) used hard copy.

Little Wars

(A Game for Boys from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty
and for that more intelligent sort of girl who likes boys' games and books)

With an Appendix on Kriegspiel

(Digital, don't cost nuthin')

It shows how the imagination of the famous writer H.G. Wells was fired at a young age by 'playing' with toy soldiers. :coffee:
